I read an article online the other day and saw that this toy is going to be "The Hottest Toy in 2009!" Does anyone actually own one? What do they do? I cant find them to order one for under 40$ and I haven't been in a store that had them on the shelves. Can I get some details from someone with first hand experience please?

I rather own a real hamster but right know i have gerbils. And all they do is run around like a hamster in what is supposed to be some kind of weird cage. And i know i don’t have one but it really looks stupid. It should just be for little kids who don’t know how to take care of pets yet.

Depends on the type of Zhu Zhu Pet. The Num Nums hamster seems to be a best seller.
I do own a one. They are a a fun and interactive fake hamster that makes sounds when you pet it and watch run around and make sounds. You have to hit a button on it’s back to get it to go from one mode to another.

our walmart has one playset. target is getting them in now, they should be on the shelves within the next couple weeks. i think they retail there for 7.98 a hamster and 10-20 for the sets. just call and bug them every day, or ask someone to search on their little computer.
I’ve already bought them…they are really cute. I have the complete set, but I’ve done it by finding one or two items at different walmarts over a period of probably 6 weeks. They seem to be scarce.
