Today I was sitting at my desk reading an article about the newest toy of the season, the Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters. These toys are really popular and hard to get at this time. As I sat there reading the article I wondered why the little electronic toys are so popular.
I then clicked on a link in the article and it went to a video that was on one of the popular video sites. Well about that same time my little boy came in the room and sat down in my lap.
The video began playing and the little toy hamster went here and there all over the floor of that person's house. It made all kids of funny sounds and twisted and turned in every direction. And my son started to laugh and giggle at all the things it did.
I then realized that these little toys are so popular because children really love the little toy hamsters and get lots of enjoyment from them. They are a fun toy and help children use their imagination. The kids imagine that the little toy hamsters are real. Thus, they help to stimulate their minds and provide hours of entertainment for them.
If kids play with the toys in groups of 3 or 4 children then each child can take turns playing with a different pet. This teaches children sharing and cooperation skills. These are 2 very important social skills that they can learn at an early age which will help them later on in life. So, these toys offer entertainment but they also offer valuable social and mental stimulation for the kids as well.
